It’s that time of the week to get our “What the hell are we going to do in Second Life this weekend?” list out-of-the-way.
1. Clover Mountain (M)
Since there are two parts to Clover Mountain I am giving you two SLurls today. Clover Mountain II drops you off where you can rez a bike or horse to ride around. Clover Mountain III will drop you off where there is dancing along the water as well as a place to sit & enjoy a nice campfire.
This is a great example of a small nature reserve within Second Life. Feel free to rez a bike or horse & ride around enjoying the natural sights around you. In the mood to dance or cuddle with your woozle love muffin? You can do that as there are dances & cuddles scattered all over the lands. When you do visit be sure to stay away from the owners private home.
2. All of the Fairs going on.
I am not into fashion fairs but felt they were worth a mention since many have proceeds that go to charity or a worthy cause. I’m always one to throw my support in to charities/causes that do good things for those who need it.
Hair Fair – Starts July 14th & runs through the 29th. This is to benefit “Wigs For Kids“. For more information please check out their website.
Relay For Life In Second Life is holding holding their 8th RFL in-world July 14th & 15th. For information, SLurls, & ways you can help please check out their website.
3. Kreation Karnival (M)
They are brand new & a lot of the items are still under construction. Although it is small & work is still being done it looks like a place to keep an eye on. I wanted to mention them because I got to go to a freak side-show & take a picture while staring at a sword swallower.
Besides the side-show freaks there is a burlesque tent, boardwalk, ferris wheel, merry-go-round & soon-to-be fun house. I think they are on to something good with this old fashion carny feel. Also, if you feel like buying a side-show freak, you can. Would be kinda funny to get a bearded lady for the office.
4. The Gay Archipelago Magic & Myth Summer Festival (A) is currently going on until July 15th. The festival is full of art exhibits & venders as well as other events. Be sure to check out the festivals events calendar for times/info. Make sure you read the rules of the fest when you first arrive to insure a pleasant visit. I made a quick visit when it first opened & plan on going again to check out some of the live events.
As usual you’ll find me at Prim Charades at 5pm SLT on Fridays. (Except for Fri. July 20th & possibly the 27th as I will be out-of-town. Booo.)
Go out! Explore! Have some virtual fun & a kick ass awesome weekend!
