We At The SLA Review Wanted To Wish Everyone A Very Safe & Happy Fourth Of July!
Mr. C. Cow & I decided to throw a bash on our rooftop patio. There will be much drinking, dancing, eating, & celebrating of Independence Day. Contrary to popular belief Mr. C. Cow is actually an excellent dancer. He can also drink an entire Whiskey tray without stopping to breathe. Not exactly sure how safe that is for a virtual cow but once he starts going he’s hard to stop.
Mr. C. Cow also makes a wonderful apple pie. Who would have thunk it?
To those that are not in the states we wish you a super awesome day!
Be safe. Don’t drink & drive. Be sure to search out fun things to do on Second Life for the holiday!
I wanted to bring everyone a little something to do this 4th Of July if you didn’t have any real life plans, wanted to do something with your virtual family, or don’t live in a country that celebrates but still thought it would be kinda neato to see virtual fireworks. Seems simple enough.
It really isn’t that easy.
If you weed out the stores that are just selling holiday items as well as fireworks you are left with a pitiful excuse for a virtual holiday celebration. We don’t want to discuss what you can buy to hold your own celebration for your Second Life family. By now most people do know how using search to shop for stuff works. We want to find a place that you can make everyone tag along, watch fireworks, eat BBQ, get a feeling of a holiday festival, AND not end up spending our time shopping.
I really don’t think it’s that much to ask for.
Lucky for us that Misty Acres (G) has brought the feeling of a real 4th Of July festival into the virtual world. Not surprising since Misty Acres has been a staple for virtually safe family G rated fun for multiple years now. I’ve mentioned them multiple times throughout the years & they came through, naturally, with something for people to do on a holiday.
Currently Misty Acres is set up for a proper 4th Of July celebration. You can sit on a picnic blanket while watching the fireworks over the lake. Check out the food that’s being cooked on the BBQ. Admire the patriotic decorations as you ride the various rides the park has to offer.
Although, at times, you can run into lag issues do to the vast amount of stuff as well as the fireworks going off I still think it is the perfect place for those looking for a little bit of a virtual holiday celebration with loved ones.
I recommend checking Misty Acres out for a proper celebration of the holiday as well as searching through the events calendar on the 4th Of July. You never know what types of celebrations you may run into.
